Overview
Are you ready to dive into the magic of storytelling and bring a one-act play to life? Our One Act Play Camp is the perfect place for young performers to explore the thrill of theatre production. This summer, we're creating a memorable experience that focuses on the power of storytelling and teamwork!
What You'll Experience:
Script Analysis: Learn how to analyze scripts, develop characters, and understand the story's themes and messages.
Rehearsals and Performance: Spend three weeks rehearsing and perfecting your roles. Work closely with our experienced directors to bring the play to life with minimal sets, costumes, lighting, and sound. Focus on the core elements of storytelling: acting, dialogue, and interaction.
Theatre Basics: Learn the fundamentals of theatre production, including stage directions, blocking, and basic stage etiquette. Understand how to work effectively as part of a team to create a cohesive performance.
Improvisation and Adaptability: Engage in improvisation exercises to enhance your acting skills and adaptability. Discover how to think on your feet and respond creatively to unexpected moments during performances.
This is not an introduction class. Students who have never performed live are encouraged to choose a different class.
